My name is Thorhildur and I grew up on a farm in North Iceland, my mother tongue is Icelandic and I speak a few other languages as well.
I have been living in Dunedin since February 2016 and I really like this lively and cosy city. It is easy to get around and the people are friendly and helpful.
When I was a child my aunt told me stories before I went to bed and I remember how she RAISED HER VOICE or whispered to make the story more exciting.
I like stories because of the fantasy, anything can happen and creativity flows. Through stories we can learn about our feelings and develop empathy for others.
My hope is that my audience will follow me up into the barren mountains of Iceland in my search for the cow Bukolla.
